Now is more important than ever!

Thought you could get away with a website that only works on desktops?

Well your time is now up!

Google have announced that they will now be including mobile friendliness as one of its criteria for ranking sites, meaning if your site is not mobile friendly, it could be dropped!

System 8 has performed a recent test of over 100 Australian small business websites and found 6/10 small business websites are not mobile friendly!

Sites that have been developed in the last couple of years should be ok, however sites built prior to 3 years ago are more than likely not mobile optimised. However you still should check to make sure.

As of 2014, internet usage on mobiles has now overtaken fixed internet access so making sure that your website is mobile optimised is critical for ensuring that you are not losing potential customers.

So what’s the good news?

Getting a professional, mobile optimised website doesn’t need to cost an arm or a leg any more. And with the rise and domination of mobile users searching the internet, it really is time to get current.

When getting a new website be sure to check that…

  • The website has a CMS (Content Management System), which will allow you to log in and make updates to your site when needed.
  • You are given training on how to manage and update the content on the website.
  • The website is mobile responsive.
  • You have control over the hosting, meaning you can change providers if needed.

At System8 we offer pre-built and custom mobile responsive websites starting from $1,500.
